چکیده

2 This paper presents a method for interpolating a sparse set of velocity measurements on the surface of a vibrating structure. The method is based on a novel integration of a physical model of the vibrating structure with an optimal signal recovery technique. The ability to achieve good interpolation performance with a small set of sensors makes this method important for many active noise control applications where an accurate measure of structural surface velocity is required to predict the radiated acoustic eld. To demonstrate the applicability of this method in active control applications, a sample experiment is performed and results presented. 1 The interior of the ellipse represents the space of all possible signals b = Ax. If one sample of the two-dimensional signal vector b is known (b 1), then the other sample b 2 is restricted to lie on the intersection of the ellipse interior and the vertical dashed line. The optimal solution in this case is b opt , which is the midpoint between points b max 2 and b min 2 Plate mode shapes within the 480-510 Hz frequency range: (a) 481.8 Hz (b) 483.3 Hz (c) 503.6 Hz (d) 505.8 Hz 3 Plate velocity response at 495 Hz due to a 0.8 N force applied at x = 0:1m and y = 0:05m. : 14 4 Performance of interpolation technique as a function of the number of sensors. An Optimal G^2-Hermite Interpolation by Rational Cubic Bézier Curves

In this paper, we study a geometric G^2 Hermite interpolation by planar rational cubic Bézier curves. Two data points, two tangent vectors and two signed curvatures interpolated per each rational segment. We give the necessary and the sufficient intrinsic geometric conditions for two C^2 parametric curves to be connected with G2 continuity. Locally, the free parameters w...

Single image super-resolution using self-optimizing mask via fractional-order gradient interpolation and reconstruction

Image super-resolution using self-optimizing mask via fractional-order gradient interpolation and reconstruction aims to recover detailed information from low-resolution images and reconstruct them into high-resolution images. Due to the limited amount of data and information retrieved from low-resolution images, it is difficult to restore clear, artifact-free images, while still preserving eno...

Multiplier-less Farrow Structure based Linear Phase Low Pass Interpolation Filter

This paper proposes a totally multiplier-less farrow structure based linear phase low-pass interpolation filter. When implemented using farrow structure, it has inherently low number of multipliers and adders compared to that using finite impulse response (FIR) filter structure. To further reduce the implementation complexity, the structure is made totally multiplier-less. Canonic signed digit ...

Natural Gas Price Forecasting using Kriging Interpolation Technique and Neldar-Mead Optimization Algorithm

The prediction of economic series with high volatility and high uncertainty - such as natural gas prices - is always a challenge in econometric models, because the use of traditional linear modeling models does not allow us to predict complex and nonlinear time series. Regarding the prediction of natural gas prices,  findings point to superiority of the neural network compared to regression mod...

Optimal recovery approach to image interpolation

We consider the problem of image interpolation from an adaptive optimal recovery point of view. Many different standard interpolation approaches may be viewed through the prism of optimal recovery. In this paper we review some standard image interpolation methods and how they relate to optimal recovery as well as introduce a broader, more general and systematic approach to image interpolation u...
